La Traditionnelle
Inspired by tradition
This model is inspired by the traditional spoons used in Quebec, and is the most widely used.
Back-to-back spoons whose sound can be modulated by opening or closing the resonance box with the hand not holding the handle. The result is a greater variety of sounds.
Choice of two formats:
... the small "Traditionnelle" for a clearer sound
... the large "Traditionnelle" for a deeper and stronger sound
Smaller spoons are more "nervous" than larger ones, allowing faster, more voluble play. They are easier to handle and play with.
We always recommend that beginners and children start with traditional teaspoons, as this will make mastery easier and quicker.
Made from a single piece of maple wood with contrasting wood insert
Choice of two sizes:
... the small: 23 cm (9 in.)
... the large: 28 cm (11 in.)
